Trio of Section III cheerleading squads punch ticket to state meet with wins Saturday

Syracuse, N.Y. — West Genesee, Indian River and Chittenango all earned class titles in Section III’s gameday cheerleading championships on Saturday, setting them up to flash their skills at the state competition.
West Genesee repeated in A, host Indian River took B, Chittenango edged out a win in C-1 and Oriskany took C-2. The A and B champs and the higher-scoring squad between the C-1 and C-2 teams advance to the state meet. Chittenango took that comparison 78.2-69.9.
